How long will new fencing last?
Quality pressure-treated timber fencing typically lasts 15–25 years when properly installed. Using concrete posts rather than timber posts significantly extends the life of the installation. We use quality treated timber and concrete posts as standard.
Who is responsible for a shared boundary fence?
Boundary responsibility is determined by your title deeds or conveyance documents — look for a "T" mark on the boundary. Your deeds should indicate which boundaries you own and are responsible for maintaining. We are happy to advise during your visit.
What height can I build my fence without planning permission?
You can generally build a fence up to 2 metres (6.5ft) high at the rear and sides of your property without planning permission. Fences over 1 metre beside a highway typically require permission. We will flag any potential issues during your free estimate.
